We’re not going to pretend that maintaining fixed asset data is child’s play.  It’s not!  There are a number of tax laws that have been enacted over the last 25 years that makes this process confusing and cumbersome.  You may still need to rely on a professional accountant to assist you with some entries, but the one thing you won’t have to do is forget how to use Asset Keeper.

Unlike most programs which have confusing and complicated interfaces, Asset Keeper is clean, simple, and greets you with an intuitive interface. 

As an example of this, here is a screen shot of our Main Menu.  As you can see, the menus are organized in functional groups –

• Files – to manage and organize your data files
• Assets – to add or edit your assets
• Calculate – to calculate various types of depreciation, annual, monthly, pro-rated, short-year, etc.
• Reports – to print reports
• Housekeeping – other seldom used options
• Miscellaneous – display information about your computer
• Help – access help or send us an email.

You’ll also notice that in the center of the screen is information about the file you currently have selected.

Many of the options are wizard driven that provide guidance along the way, and the menus and options are designed with the mostly commonly used features listed first.  Furthermore, we anticipate what you are doing and provide informative prompts and messages to eliminate data entry or calculation errors. 

Asset Keeper is one of the most powerful fixed asset programs on the market, but maintains its ease of use by hiding much of its power behind a friendly and simplistic interface.  You will never find yourself wondering where you are or where you’re going.
