What is Amortization
Plus?
Amortization
Plus (A+, for short) is a tool designed to
create and manage loan amortization and annuity
schedules. A+ can calculate payments, interest
rates, principal amounts for any type of loan or
annuity, print loan amortization and annuity
schedules, and can even chart data pertaining to
loans and annuities. In addition, you can
create, manage, and save loan and annuity
schedules for as many clients as you like.
Why does Amortization
Plus indicate that I am using a DEMO program
when I start it?
An activation
code is required to convert Amortization Plus
from a DEMO to a licensed version. Until you
enter your activation code, Amortization Plus
will start in DEMO mode. While in DEMO mode,
whenever A+ starts, a screen is displayed
prompting you to enter your activation code. To
activate the program, click the "Enter
Activation Code" button and type in your program
prefix, serial number, and the activation code
provided to you on the CD case that your CD was
shipped in. If you bypassed the prompt during
the startup, you may enter the activation
information by selecting the option "Enter
Activation Code" from the Help Menu, or wait
until the next time you start A+.
I lost my activation
code, how can I get another one?
Select Enter
Activation Code from the Help Menu. Click the
Request Activation Code button on the screen
that is displayed. Complete the form and email
or fax to Pro-Ware. We will respond by email if
you email your request or by fax if you fax your
request to us.

Installation
What should I do if I put
the Amortization Plus CD in my computer and
nothing happens?
Our
installation relies on the "autorun" feature of
Windows to start the installation program when
you insert the Amortization Plus CD; however, if
this Windows feature has been disabled or is not
working properly, the installation program will
not start. To manually start the installation
program, click on My Computer, then right-click
on the drive that represents your CD-ROM drive
and select Open from the menu. When the
contents of the CD are displayed, double-click
on AUTORUN.EXE and the installation program will
start.
Can I access my data
files on a network if I install Amortization
Plus on my computer?
Yes. If
Amortization Plus is installed on your computer,
you can access data files on your local
computer, a network, or any drive that you can
navigate to using Windows Explorer.
What is the System
Configuration and what options should I choose?
The System
Configuration Wizard appears the very first time
that Amortization Plus loads after it is
installed. Using this wizard, you can change
almost any aspect of the program, including
where client files will reside, printer and
report settings, default settings for loans and
annuities, backup options, and email
configuration. This wizard can also be run at
any time while in the program if necessary.

How do I select a client in

File Menu. There you will see a listing of all
clients that are setup in A+ and you can select

How do I backup my data
files?
The best way
to backup your data files is to use the option
Backup/Restore in the File Menu. This option is
a wizard that will allow you to backup your data
files to a compressed file using the "zip"
format. Files that have been backed up can not
be accessed until they are "restored" using the
Restore feature of this option.
How can I import client data
from other programs?
Amortization
Plus allows you to import client data from
Accountant's Helper, Client Communiqué, and
Ratios Plus. Simply select the Import Wizard
from the File Menu to import your client data.
